Hello, and thanks for visiting the site.

Maybe you landed here because your vet recommended some rehab for your dog. Maybe something I posted caught your eye and made you wonder if your pet could benefit from some rehabilitation. Maybe you’re just curious what this is all about. Either way, I welcome you and hope to answer those questions.

What exactly is canine rehab?

It’s a lot like human physical rehabilitation, but for dogs. We help treat musculoskeletal and neurological issues to improve quality of life for both the dog and the owner, with the goal of getting you two back where you want to be.

A big part of that is exercise, and you, the owner, need to be an active participant in the process, as changes cannot be made if the owner isn’t doing the homework. I'll be there supporting you and your dog the whole way through.

It can be a little nerve-racking at first, wondering what this might all look like. When I show up to your home for an evaluation, we will sit down and talk about your dog, what he or she is struggling with, and when this started. We’ll also dig into any questions you might have. At that time, we’ll assess your dog’s movement, see where he or she is at, and discuss our goals. We’ll then find some exercises for you to do at home, which I’ll demonstrate with your pet. You’ll be given these exercises with sets and reps, and we’ll go over any questions you have. Don’t fret; if you have questions between visits, I’m available to help.

I also include manual therapy, laser treatment, and dry needling (if appropriate) in my treatments, based on what we’re seeing and how the dog is responding. What we need between sessions is consistency.

If that sounds like something you’re interested in, feel free to drop me an email or schedule a call with me.
